Webkey Privacy Policy Effective: March 1st 2017

 

Webkey and its subsidiaries (together hereinafter referred to as “Webkey,” “we,” “us” or “our”), are committed to protecting the privacy of those individuals who visit our websites (the “Websites”)and/or register to use our applications and services (“Services”). This policy describes our privacy practices and how we use and collect the personal information that you share with us when browsing our Website(s) and/or using our Services and/or registering an account with us.

TERRITORIAL USE

Webkey is headquartered in Hungary (European Union), and our servers are located within the EU/EEA. Therefore, personal information that we collect and maintain may be transferred to or controlled and processed in Hungary and other member states of the EU/EEA. By providing us with personal information and by using our Website(s) and Services, you explicitly consent to this transfer. We will protect the privacy and security of personal information we collect in accordance with this privacy policy, regardless of where it is processed or stored, however you explicitly acknowledge and consent to the fact that personal information stored or processed in Hungary or other member states of the European Union will be subject to the laws of Hungary and other member states where processing thereof takes place to the applicable extent, as well as of the EU/EEA itself, which shall especially include the Hungarian Act 112/2011 on the Right of Informational Self Determination and on Freedom of Information, the EU Data Protection Directive (95/46/EC, hereinafter: Data Directive) and the ePrivacyDirective (2002/58/EC, hereinafter: ePrivacy Directive)), including the ability of governments, courts, law enforcement and/or regulatory agencies of Hungary, of other members states’ as applicable and of the European Union who have valid jurisdiction over Webkey to obtain disclosure of your personal information subject to a valid subpoena, court order or similar official request.

HOW AND WHEN INFORMATION IS COLLECTED

We are committed to only collecting the information necessary to provide and improve our Services. When we do collect your information, we store it and associate it with your account unless otherwise noted. We take your privacy very seriously and will only use and disclose this information as described in this Webkey Privacy Policy. Generally, you can browse through our Website(s) without providing us with any personally identifiable information about yourself. However, as you navigate through our Website(s) and/or use our Services, certain anonymous information may be passively collected (that is, gathered without your actively providing the information) using various technologies, such as cookies, Internet tags or web beacons, and navigational data collection (server logs, clickstream). Your internet browser automatically transmits some of this anonymous information, such as the URL of the website you just came from and the Internet Protocol (IP) address and the browser version your computer or mobile device is currently using; the date and time you access our Website or use our Services and the pages that you access while at the Website. Should any of that these data or a combination thereof become relatable to you as an identified or identifiable person and thus (or otherwise) qualify as personal data under the Data Directive or other applicable regulations at any point in time, it shall automatically be considered as personal data and will be handled by Webkey accordingly without further notification. This information is used by us for internal business purposes, to analyse trends and to improve upon our Website, products and Services. Other anonymous information may be collected from your computer or mobile device through tracking technologies that we employ on our Websites such as cookies, unique IDs and internet tags or web beacons. You may set your browser or mobile device to notify you when a tracking cookie is sent or to refuse cookies altogether, but please be aware that certain features of our Website(s) and Services may not work without cookies enabled. Webkey also collects and uses the personal information that you proactively provide to us when you: 
a) Register an account with us to use any of our Services on a paid or free/trial basis via our application or our Website; 
b) Respond to any Webkey surveys, emails, questionnaires or similar online forms on our Website our in course of using our Services; or 
c) Contact us to request information or otherwise correspond with us. 
Personal information consist of your name and contact details that you may provide us, username, e-mail address, device type, hardware IDs, time of last contact, uniqueIDs, navigational data collection (log files), device ID, device preview, platform type & version, GPS coordinates, IP addresses, and are and will always be handled confidentially, securely and with the necessary level protection and under the rules and limitations as provided for by the applicable European and Hungarian laws. Should any of the data or combination thereof collected by Webkey become relatable to you as an identified or identifiable person and thus (or otherwise) qualify as personal data under the Data Directive or other applicable regulations, it shall automatically be considered as personal data and will be handled by Webkey accordingly without further notification. Should any personal data in addition to those as described herein be provided to Webkey by You, Webkey will also handle this as personal data under the provisions of this Webkey Privacy Policy. We may also receive personal information from our business partners and vendors and, so long as it has been collected in accordance with applicable laws and acceptable privacy practices consistent with this Policy, we may aggregate such information with the information we collect from you ourselves to help us form a more complete user profile for you.

OUR USE OF COOKIES AND TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES

Webkey uses cookies to help us track and analyse user traffic patterns. A “Cookie” is a small data file that certain websites write to your hard drive when you visit them. Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer. A cookie file can contain information such as a unique user ID that a website uses to track the pages you’ve visited, but the only personal information a cookie can contain is information you elect to supply yourself. A cookie can’t read data off your hard disk or read cookie files created by other websites. Cookies can help save you time, for example, if you personalize a web page, or navigate within a website, a cookie recalls your specific information for future visits. In addition to cookies, our Website(s) use a variety of other methods and tools for tracking purposes, including Internet tags and web beacons, which are small pieces of data that are embedded in images and pages of our Websites. While most web browsers automatically accept cookies, many browsers allow you to modify your browser setting to decline cookies and/or “opt-out” of tracking technologies. Please note however, if a visitor turns off cookies such visitor may find some of the functionality of our website and/or our services and Apps, to be reduced or impaired. We also utilize both proprietary and third party analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, to gather information designed to help us gain insight into how visitors interact with and use our Websites and Services. You can prevent your data from being collected by Google Analytics on our Websites by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, which is available here. We may also use certain Google Analytics Advertising features which provide interest-based ads based on your visit to our Websites or other websites. You can manage the Google ads you see and opt-out of interest-based ads through Google’s Ad Settings here.

HOW WE USE INFORMATION COLLECTED

Webkey uses the information we collect for our own general business purposes, which may include: 
– to help us analyse, research, report on and improve upon the Services we provide; 
– to fulfil your requests and/or orders for certain products, services and support; 
– to market our Services, or the services of our third party business partners, to you and keep you up to date on our latest product updates, announcements, and special offers. You may opt out of receiving these communications at any time (see “Choice/Opt-Out” below). 
– where available, Webkey may use client device information to let you know you need to update your version. 
– We may use your email address to send privacy or security related notices and notify you of major Webkey services changes.

INFORMATION SHARING AND DISCLOSURE

Webkey will not transfer your personal information to third parties, except we may transfer your personal information without your consent to the extent required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (i) conform to the edicts of law or comply with legal process served on Webkey or the site; (ii) protect or defend the rights or property of Webkey; (iii) act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety, property, or privacy of Webkey’s employees, users of Webkey’s products or service, or members of the public; or (iv) effect a transaction, restructuring or proceeding that transfers to a third party the assets or line of business to which the information pertains. Webkey may send your personal information to other companies or people under any of the following circumstances: (i) when we have your consent to share the information; (ii) we need to share your information to provide the product or service you have requested; (iii) we need to send the information to companies who work on behalf of Webkey to provide a product or service to you (we will only provide those companies the information they need to deliver the service, and they are prohibited from using that information for any other purpose). In addition, we may share non-identifiable aggregate information about our users (for example, the proportion of male and female users) with advertisers, business partners, and other third parties in an effort to customize or enhance the content and advertising on our Website or in our Services for our users.
By using our app and features such as remote screen recording and caption, you aknowledge that these videos and/or images will be uploaded to our cloud/server in order for them to be accessible to you on the User End of our application.
If you find it difficult to use the touch screen of your device then with the Android Accessibility service you can control your device with your PC peripherals, like a touchpad, or keyboard.
You can revoke this permission at any time via the settings menu. Our app uses the Android Accessibility service for it’s core functionality and we do not collect or share any personal or sensitive data.
When using our app the “contact list” on your device is used to autofill your email address automatically to log you in. During this process, the Android app will read your email address used for the registration from the contact list on your device to connect your device to your Dashboard. The necessary information/data from the contact list on your device will be temporarily uploaded and processed through our servers during this process, but only your login name will be stored. The email address fetched from your device can be changed by you in a free text box upon login, so you may change this at your convenience.
When using our app you may consent to the “screen recordings” on your device to be processed through our server used to connect your device to your Dashboard which is the core functionality of our application. Screen recordings are not stored on our servers, only broadcast to your Dashboard in a browser.
File information from your controlled device will be uploaded to our servers while using our app to ensure core functionality.

CHOICE/OPT-OUT

Unless you take affirmative action to “opt-out” of receiving marketing and promotional materials at the point of data collection, we assume that you have given us your consent to collect and use your information in accordance with this Policy. The “opt-out” checkbox is the means by which you give us, or decline to give us, your consent to use your personal information for the purpose(s) covered by the applicable opt-out choice. You may indicate your desire to “opt-out”: (i) at the point of data collection when your personal information is entered by using the “opt-out” checkbox, (ii) when you receive marketing and promotional communications from us by clicking the “unsubscribe” hyperlink and following the instructions, or (iii) at any time by sending an email request to info@webkey.com (please indicate “Opt-Out” in the subject line) or by sending a written request to our address as provided below (“Contact Us”). In certain cases, we will provide you with the opportunity to “opt-in”. This means we will require your affirmative action to indicate your consent before we use your information for purposes other than the purpose for which it was submitted. You may also stop the collection of personally identifiable information in connection with your use of our Services by stopping your use of them.

YOUR ABILITY TO REVIEW AND DELETE INFORMATION

You can always ask to review any personal information that we have collected from you, have us update, correct or delete this information and/or instruct us not to use this information in the future. If you wish to exercise this right, simply contact us (see below).

DATA SECURITY

Your personal information is protected for your privacy and security. Webkey safeguards the security and confidentiality of the data you send us with physical, technical, and managerial procedures. While using our Services, Webkey only uses forms of secure communication (HTTPS, SSL or more secure) between Webkey servers and your device. Please be aware that, despite our best efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot ensure the security of the information you transmit to us, and so we urge you to take every precaution to protect your personal data when you are on the Internet. Change your passwords often, use a combination of letters and numbers, take advantage of multi-factor authentication features where available and make sure you use an up-to-date and secure browser. To use our application as part of our Services you need to provide our application with “root” access rights. Webkey will use such rights securely and only in order to facilitate providing the Services, especially no spying-, monitoring software or malware will be installed. Root access rights will solely and in a secure way be used to perform or allow us to perform the actions required to perform the Services. For the functioning of our application and Services, further access rights could be required to be granted by you on your device, which will separately be requested and by Google Market or other platforms upon installing our application or accessing our Services.

THIRD PARTY SITES

Our Websites and Services may contain links to websites operated by third-parties. Some of these third-party sites may be co-branded with a Webkey logo even though they are not operated or maintained by Webkey. Although we choose our business partners carefully, Webkey is not responsible for the privacy practices of websites operated by third parties that are linked to our Websites and/or Services. Once you have left the platform of our Websites and/or Services, you should check the applicable privacy policy of the third party website or platform to determine how they will handle any information they collect from you.

CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

Webkey may amend this policy from time to time. If we make any substantial changes in the way we use your personal information we will make that information available by posting a notice on our Website or will make it directly available to you via our application while using our Services.

CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

Our website is a general audience site that does not target and is not intended for children under the age of 6. Webkey does not knowingly solicit or maintain personal information pertaining to children under the age of 6.
